Through the years we have seen many deadly attacks, from brutal beatings to shootings and stabbings, occur at basketball games on church grounds across America. Some of those resulted in fatalities, but all of them are senseless acts of violence.
It happened again on Saturday 7/5/25 at the Pleasant Valley Church in Liberty Township, OH. The church allows local youth to use their basketball courts without charge. As a large group of local youth were playing basketball, a car pulled into the church parking lot. Then, from the car, multiple shots were fired towards the basketball court.
The pastor insinuated there were sixty shots fired and expressed gratitude that nobody was hurt or worse.
Police arrived and interviewed everyone who was there. Nobody admitted to recognizing the car or the shooters.
How safe are your sports courts and playgrounds when no security personnel are on site?
