Specialized Training for Armed Defenders Serving Houses of Worship

When violence threatens a house of worship, the actions of trained defenders can mean the difference between life and death. Preparation requires more than carrying a firearm. It demands sound judgment, practical skills, disciplined decision-making, and the ability to respond effectively under pressure. The Faith-Based Security Network (FBSN) is proud to offer House of Worship Active Attack Response (HOWAAR), an intensive, instructor-led training program specifically designed for armed defenders serving in church and ministry security roles. HOWAAR focuses on preparing armed defenders for the unique challenges of responding to an active attack in a house of worship. Unlike traditional firearms training, this program is built around the environment, responsibilities, and realities faced by those entrusted with protecting congregations.
