David co-authored the book: "Gone in a Heartbeat: Our Daughters Died... Our Faith Endures" with his wife Marie Works. They lost their teenage daughters on December 9, 2007, when a gunman attacked New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This is their testimony of tragedy and loss, illuminating the path for others to find and experience God in the present moment.
